To further advance the in-depth integration of traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) with modern science and technology as well as industrial capital, and boost the high-quality inheritance, innovation and development of TCM, Lawyer Xie Peina, Executive Director of KINGPOUND KAYUI LAW FIRM, was recently invited to attend the collective signing ceremony for major TCM-industry integration projects and the digital and intelligent innovation training session for postgraduate supervisors hosted by Shandong University of Traditional Chinese Medicine. At the event, she delivered a special presentation entitled Equity Structure Design for Biomedical Enterprises.

1.Grand Event Kicks Off

This event was co-hosted by the China National Health Association, Shandong Elderly Care & Health Higher Education Community and Shandong University of Traditional Chinese Medicine. A collective signing was completed with 13 enterprises on site, with the total contracted value exceeding over 20 million yuan. This marks the university’s second major ten-million-yuan project signing in 2026, covering cutting-edge fields such as health technology, intelligent medical care and biotechnology. The event brought together experts and scholars in traditional Chinese medicine, principals of TCM-industry integration projects, postgraduate supervisors and industry representatives. It focused on core topics including interdisciplinary innovation of TCM and engineering, digital and intelligent transformation, as well as collaborative education among enterprises, universities and research institutes. More than 300 attendees were present on site, while over 4,500 people participated online. The initiative aims to build a communication platform integrating industries, universities, research institutions and medical sectors, advance the implementation of major projects, and enhance postgraduate supervisors’ capabilities in innovative talent cultivation.

As the only invited legal practitioner at the event, Lawyer Xie Peina delivered a special lecture. Combining the industrial characteristics, financing needs and compliance requirements of biomedical enterprises, she systematically elaborated on the core logic of equity structure design, structural planning at different development stages, key risk prevention and control measures, as well as practical issues concerning equity incentives and corporate governance.
